Laboratory dedicated to the identification of benthic macroinvertebrates, bioindicators of the healthiness of the waters.
Do we live in a clean environment? Let's look at it together by analyzing the waters of Oasi Fiume Alento. We will learn how to examine water samples taken from ponds, scrutinizing them in the laboratory with stereoscopes to see which tiny insects live in fresh water. Helped by supporting materials, we will identify the bioindicator macroinvertebrates whose presence allows the diagnosis of the quality of water and environment. An exciting start to hydrobiology and the use of precision instruments!
